In the Black Cookie Co Brings QR Code Cookies to OCVIBE's Arctic After Dark at ARTIC

The Fullerton Bakery Joined OCVIBE as a Vendor With Cookies Guests Could Scan, Showing Businesses and Event Hosts a New Way to Share a Link

Press Release ·

In the Black Cookie Co, the Fullerton bakery run by co-owners Rosie Romo and Dina Black, was a featured vendor at OCVIBE's Arctic After Dark event on Oct. 21 at ARTIC, the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center at 2626 E. Katella Ave. in Anaheim.

The bakery was not there to sell.

Rosie and Dina came to show guests what a custom cookie can do, so they brought cookies printed with a working QR code.

When guests scanned a cookie with their phone, it took them straight to the bakery's website, intheblackcookieco.com.

The idea works well beyond one night.

A company can print its website on cookies for a product launch, a trade show booth or a client thank-you.

A wedding couple can link guests to a photo album, and a nonprofit can send donors to a giving page.

The cookie gets eaten, but the link has already done its job.

"We brought QR code cookies to show people that a cookie can do more than taste good," said Rosie Romo, co-owner of In the Black Cookie Co.

"Guests scanned them, laughed, and then asked how they could get them for their own events.

It was a powerful event and very well put together, and we're very excited to keep working with OC VIBE and the community."

In the Black Cookie Co has baked for Honda Center, OCVIBE's anchor venue, since 2022, including custom printed cookies for the OC Vibe Day and OC Vibe Night celebrations in 2024.

Arctic After Dark gave the bakery a chance to meet the wider OCVIBE community in person.

Custom printed cookies, including QR code designs and company logos, can be ordered through the bakery's website at intheblackcookieco.com.
